Pendle Hill Guided Walk
Sunday, November 16
We will join a guided walk at Pendle Hill from 1:30-3:30 on Sunday, November 16, focusing on the trees and landscape (a bit different from our recent walk).
From the website:
“Join Lloyd Guindon, Pendle Hill’s Director of Facilities and Grounds, and Jennifer Walker, horticultural designer, arborist, and educator, for a walk through the campus landscape-past and present.
Using historic maps and firsthand observation, we’ll explore how the land has changed over time: what was planted with good intentions that we now recognize as invasive, which trees have stood for a century or more, and how our current decisions reflect new understandings of ecology, climate resilience, and care for community and habitat. “
The walk is free but registration is required. Please signup with Beth Lawn, 484-431-3096 (call or text) who will register for our group. Indicate if you would like to carpool or otherwise need a ride. Parking might be tight. Pendle Hill is located at 321 Plush Mill Rd, Wallingford, PA.
