Battery Park Trail

Walks and Trails is planning a walk along the Delaware riverfront in New Castle, DE, Thursday Sept. 25, rain date Friday the 26th. We will carpool from Swarthmore leaving at 10:30 am and plan to return home no later than 2 pm. We will walk the Battery Park trail.

It is 3.7 miles on a flat, paved trail along the river. There are places to stop and rest. If one doesn’t want to walk the whole thing you can go as far as you like then sit for a while and turn around and come back. We will decide on lunch, stopping at a restaurant nearby or ordering from Wawa and eating along the trail.
