Fall Festival at the Newlin Grist Mill!
Saturday, September 19
We’re Going to the Fall Festival at the Newlin Grist Mill!
Put on your sneakers and join the fun as we return to the Newlin Grist Mill in Glen Mills for their Fall Festival on Saturday, September 19! Our interest was piqued when a speaker from this 18th century water powered mill spoke at a Lunch ‘n Learn last year The mill is situated in a 160-acre park with 8.5 miles of wooded trails. A group of us took a walk there later and happened upon a volunteer who was working to restore the mill wheel. He tipped us off about the Fall Festival and we were psyched! The Festival features historic trade demonstrations including a tour of the Mill with its working water wheel, archaeological activities, a colonial market, hayrides, and local food and drink.
