Walks & Trails – Ridley Creek State Park

Thursday, March 20, 2025
Thursday is World Frog Day! And Ridley Creek State Park has a special program to celebrate!
Join the SSCA walking group as we meet up with the DCNR Park Naturalist at the vernal pond for a trailside interactive exhibit program on our vanishing amphibian friends, their natural history histories, and what we can do to help them.
Registration is not required and there is no cost. We will meet at the PAC Center at 12 noon and carpool.
If you like, bring a bag lunch and we can gather at a picnic table and eat together afterward.
Please note that although the walk is not long, there is a slight grade along the dirt trail leading to the main Macadam Road, and another slight grade on the main road to the Vernal pond.
If anyone wishes to drive on their own and meet us there, they can park in the mansion parking lot, where we should arrive about 12:15. Please let Beth know if you are doing this so we can look for you.
Call or text Beth Lawn (484-431-3096), if you have any questions or if the weather looks iffy.
