Historic Ruins Edition

Did you know there are ruins of an elaborate Italianate garden tucked away in the Crum Woods? The garden fell into neglect after its mansion was demolished to make way for the Blue Route. The story is told HERE. Let’s go find it.

This walk is on a paved portion of the Smedley-Leiper Trail, except for the last few yards (if you want to go down into the garden ruins). Park in the unpaved lot beneath the Blue Route, on Avondale Road, by 2:00 pm.
