Bonding That Transcends Generations

Welcome to Swarthmore Senior Citizens Association (SSCA), where community thrives across all ages! We’re more than just a group – we’re a vibrant network dedicated to connecting people, enhancing well-being, and building lasting relationships within our borough and beyond.

Regular Activities

Lunch and Learn programs are held at the PAC Center on Wednesdays from early September through the end of May. Bring your lunch at noon and enjoy socializing with friends old and new. The formal program begins at 12:30 PM and ends at 1:30 PM.

Card & Board Games

The Swarthmore Senior Citizens Association-sponsored games meet weekly at the Park Avenue Community Center. Everyone is welcome, no reservations are required. If you enjoy bridge, please contact our administrator to see whether there is an opening in our on-going bridge groups.

We meet once a month on a  Monday, year round, in the Park Avenue Community Center to enjoy viewing pre-recorded videos. Topics range widely, including old-time comedy, history, and art. We lunch together from noon to 12:30, then wander the web for an hour. Drop in on any session when you feel like it.

Friday Friends at the Co-op

Everyone is welcome to Friday Friends! We gather from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the Swarthmore Co-op (341 Dartmouth Avenue) to chat about whatever comes to mind. No agenda, no program, and no special invitation required! Drop in for a few minutes or the whole hour! Come on by and say hello!

Our meetings and activities follow the guidance provided by the CDC concerning COVID and other respiratory diseases. That guidance is provided here.  We will attempt to call attention to significant changes in this guidance both in our e-newsletter and on this website. We encourage anyone not feeling well to stay home.
