Association Member!
Swarthmore Senior Citizens Association membership is a tangible way to show your support and enthusiasm for the programs and events sponsored by our organization, which we all enjoy!
Membership dues for each calendar year are $25. If you need a confidential adjustment to that amount, please call Membership Chair Shirley Mitrovichl at 484-832-4140. Any amount above $25 is welcome and will be considered a tax-deductible contribution.

Volunteers are essential to making our programs a success! If you enjoy lending a hand and being part of a supportive team, this is a great way to get involved and make a meaningful impact. Helping Neighbors
The Pantry Staples Program, initiated by SSCA members in 2020, provides shelf-stable products on a monthly basis to St. Katharine Drexel Food Pantry in Chester. The generous financial help from Swarthmore and several surrounding communities has given the PSP the ability to make a difference on behalf of our food-insecure neighbors in Chester.
Pantry Staples now operates under the fiscal sponsorship of The Foundation for Delaware County. Click Here to make a one-time or ongoing tax-deductible donation.
Donations may also be made by check and mailed to the Foundation for Delaware County at 200 E. State Street, Suite 304, Media PA 19063 with PSP in the memo line. The Foundation, as a 501(c)(3) organization, makes donations tax-deductible. We hope that PSP will have your continued support. Food security remains an important challenge.
Help with Rides
Can you offer an occasional ride to our members? Details can be flexible: maybe someone needs a ride TO an appointment but will be picked up by someone else. Or someone has a regular monthly appointment, and one volunteer might be able to provide a ride each month.
Stephanie McDonough, Swarthmore Senior Citizens Association Administrator, does her best to match those needing rides with those who can provide them. Whether you need a ride or can offer one (or both!), you can reach Stephanie at (484) 437-8272. If you can offer rides, you can let her know your general availability. If you need a ride, please allow at least a few days in advance for the best possibility of a successful match with a driver.
